Tanäk leads Rally Finland after Day1

Ott Tanäk was fastest on Thursday evenings Harju super special stage, a technical stage with a mixture of Tarmac and Gravel sections. Tanäk set blistering pace 1.3 fastest over Hyundai teammate and reigning world champion Thierry Neuville. Third was Sebastian Ogier who is returning to the championship after missing Rally Estonia and handing his car over to Oliver Solberg. Fourth was Kalle Rövanpera who hasn’t had the easiest start to the season however will be looking to change that at his home rally this weekend. Fifth was Adrien Fourmaux who will be looking to surpass a best finish of third here last year. Sixth was Katsuta, with former championship leader Elfyn Evans level pegging in terms of time with Katsuta.

8th was Munster, 9th was Pajari who was fastest on the first run of shakedown this morning. 10th was Josh McErlean who is hoping for strong pace this weekend as it is an event he has gone well at before. With Martins Sesks rounding out the Rally1 competitors.
