Ireland’s rising formula one star Alex Dunne will feature for McLaren at the the first free practice session on Friday for the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Alex made an impressive debut behind the wheel of the MCL39 at Austria earlier on in the year with his best time coming within 2 tenths of current title protagonist Oscar Piastri. If Alex impresses again it becomes highly more likely that he will be in a formula one seat next year. This comes after confirmation at the Carole Nash historic Festival from John Watson that Dunne has been in talks with multiple teams such as Red bull, Ferrari and Cadillac. As it stands Dunne is 27 points off F2 championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli in the F2 standings and will be returning to normal duties on Saturday and Sunday racing with Rodin Motorsport in the Formula 2 championship.
