Alex Dunne has claimed pole position for the F2 feature race at Spa on Sunday. The Offaly driver was 4 tenths clear of his nearest rival being Ritomo Miyata in second. Dunne had shown pace early on in the session too as after the first qualifying runs had been completed, he was 3 thousand’s ahead of the reigning F3 champion Leonardo Fornaroli. But it was Dunne’s second run that sealed the deal for a second Pole position in his successful Formula 2 campaign. He went purple in all three sectors and nobody else could match him. He will start tomorrow’s Sprint race from 10th ahead of his championship rival Richard Verschoor who had a bad qualifying.
