2 seconds now the gap between the 2 McLaren’s of Piastri and Norris. Hamilton, Gasly, Alonso and Hulkenberg pit. Mediums for all. Hamilton already gaining and more into the box now. Norris stays out. Hadjar, Tsunoda, Ocon and Norris stay out. Hamilton gained 6 places by pitting earlier. Slow stop for Norris. Ocon was the worst off as he drops to last. Hamilton goes purple with a 1:51:4. Quickly eclipsed by Norris with a 48.9. Lap times are tumbling fast as Hamilton is now chasing Albon for P6.

Hamilton told now to look after his tyres while on a charge up the field. McLaren are wanting to go to the end with both cars, will be difficult with Piastri on Mediums.

5 laps to go and Piastri still leads by 4.7 over Norris. Gap is 3.6 going on to lap 42. Verstappen only 1.1 off Leclerc now. 4 seconds at the start of lap 43 and extending, Piastri has put his foot down now.
